Triathlete with dream to turn professional

I have been a sports enthusiast from the moment I could walk and this paved the way for my career in fitness and motivating others to move. I started out as a PE teacher then became a sports coach and, in more recent years, discovered triathlon. Last year, my girlfriend and I gave up our careers in Singapore and used our savings to move back to the UK to chase our triathlon dreams. We have set up an online triathlon coaching company (www.tri2.org) to coach, engage with the triathlon community, share our passion for sport and encourage others to get active. We have been blogging the ups and downs of our own ambitions to turn professional with our “One Year to Go Pro” challenge. We hope to inspire others to chase their dreams or simply to discover a love of exercise and triathlon. Some people think we are crazy (at 30 and 32) and have said our goal is impossible but we are both ambitious and believe anything is possible if you find the courage to try. We hope we can spread that message as far and wide as possible with our training escapades and have had lots of positive feedback from fitness/triathlon/running communities. Our dream is to run our own triathlon club and inspire as many others as we can to fall in love with this amazing sport.
