Top Scottish Badminton Womens Doubles pair qualifying for Commonwealth Games

We are the top Scottish Womens doubles pair ranked at 72 in the world and we are trying to qualify for our second Commonwealth Games after we were part of the team for Glasgow 2014.

We are both 23 and we have played badminton for Scotland since we were 15. We have grown up together and paired up for doubles together in 2013. We climbed to 89 in the world in the space of 6 months, with little help from our governing body, and managed to qualify for the team event at the Commonwealth Games. As we did not receive enough support to get a higher ranking, we were denied the chance to compete in the individual event. We know that we are capable of competing at this level and we are working hard towards this goal in training every day. At the beginning of the season (August 2016) we were ranked at 600 in the world, after Caitlin had a year our following hip surgery in 2015, and have climbed in less than 6 months to 72 in the world. We are very capable of climbing even further if we have extra support as we already have the commitment and drive to achieve. We train up to 25 hours a week, on top of being university students and also working. We are entirely committed to achieving our dream and we have already been paying our competitions off our own backs to achieve our highest ever ranking. We are also currently ranked 12th in Europe and 13th in the Commonwealth.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated, or any support that could be given. We would also be willing to put any sponsors names on our tops as we are allowed logos printed.
