GKT Women's Football Club
Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Women’s Football Club, named after the medical school at King’s College London. King’s College London was recently named as one of the top world universities and has over 34,000 students from all over the world. Our club has over 100 members, growing every year. We have three competitive teams which play league matches biweekly across London, the South East and at national tournaments throughout the season, as well as a fourth recreational team which is welcome to all abilities. We are based at Guy’s Campus near London Bridge, and train at Honor Oak Park.
GKT is a very friendly and diverse community, we regularly undertake charity fundraisers, community events (such as food bank drives and outreach work in local primary schools) and initiatives empowering women in sport. We are passionate about inclusivity, sustainability and caring for the planet.
GKT Women’s Football has one of the lowest subscription fees of all the University's Sports Clubs. This helps us to ensure that we are accessible to students from all financial backgrounds and to encourage girls to try football for the first time! In order to maintain low subs, to hire experienced coaches, and to pay the league and tournament entry fees for each team we are looking for sponsorship support.
Interest in women’s football has continued to boom since the Lionesses Euros win at Wembley. Our sponsors enable young women to discover their passion for the sport while at university and support the club in providing the best experience possible for our members.
