Fountain United

We are Fountain United, a grassroots Sunday league football club with an unbroken 11-year history in Lichfield. Formed in the 2014/2015 season as Scales FC and later known as Fountain United, we have proudly competed in both the Lichfield and Walsall leagues, now Lichfield and Tamworth league, always representing our city with pride.

The 2025/2026 season marks an exciting new chapter for our club. Under the relentless leadership of the Club Manager, Wayne Gadsby, and new Club Captain, Ben Whittaker, our focus is on rebuilding the team, strengthening our squad with committed local players, and making grassroots football in Lichfield affordable, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

With your support, we aim to continue being a positive presence in the community, offering adults the chance to stay active, play competitive football, and carry forward a proud local tradition.
