Calderdale Explorers Basketball Club
We are looking for sponsorship for our junior section which currently provides and encourages over 100 children to get physically and socialty active within the Calderdale area and enjoy the benefits that come with regular physical activity and personal development gained through organised sport sponsorship providing equipment (balls, ball racks, kits and bibs) . We host regular monthly CVL's Mini Leagues which attract other teams from Yorkshire, Lancashire and Humberside so branding and sponsorship will gain further exposure. The club also does outreach in local schools and community events,.
Calderdale Explorers is a non-profit community organisation and all coachse and admin are unpaid voluteers, Our objective is to promote and provide opportunity for local and community level basketball for people within the Calderdale community. We are affiliated to the National Governing Body, BASKETBALL ENGLAND and play competitively within their League structures at Senior and Junior level ( Under 16 team) with all of our competitive players registered members of the national organization. At Junior level we have 3 sections Minis which is for 8 to 12 year olds . The players will play competitively at selected round robin events in our very own mini leagues throughout the year but at this level the focus is very much based at learning the fundamental skills of the game as opposed to competitive play .
Our Under 14 age group (13 and 14 year olds) play competitively at selected round robin events in our very own mini leagues throughout the year and also will generally play selected friendly games against other clubs.
