Lions Netball

Lions are an amateur netball team formed in Feb 2017 and composed of girls and women from the St Helens, Wigan and Warrington areas. We train once a week and play competitively each Thursday in the Wigan and Leigh Netball League. We also compete once a month in the Leigh 'Back to Netball' League. In our first season together we cemented our position in the Wigan league and also won the monthly Leigh league, gaining promotion into the second division.

In addition to the regular leagues, we like to partake in charity events and tournaments. In early September we competed in a mixed charity tournament, finishing third after getting narrowly beaten in the semi-finals.

After recently starting our second season in both leagues, we are looking for sponsors to assist us with court fees, additional dresses for our expanding team and other membership, kit and tournament costs.

We have a growing instagram account where we post regular updates which list and thank our sponsors. We have also recently been featured in a nationwide photography competition run by Huawei Mobile UK and Dazed magazine and we would be open to discussing further promotions to enhance both the profile of the team and our sponsors.
