I have recently graduated with a degree in Chemical engineering from Lamar University in Texas. I am English and lived in Leicester for all of my life before going to America to pursue my athletic dreams by competing in the NCAA on a full scholarship. I am now heading back to the UK to work part time, I currently have 3 jobs lined up, and to race competitively with the aim of making the European Cross Country Team, November 2015, the World Indoor Track team, March 2016, and the Rio Olympic Games August 2016. I strongly believe that I am capable of all three. My current 5km personal best, 13 30, stands only 5 seconds outside the standard for Rio and I believe I will be able to make the necessary improvement.

My relatively low mileage means that I can continue to improve significantly each year, over the 5km I have taken at least 25 seconds off my PB for the last 4 years whilst I have slowly increased my mileage from 30-40mpw and 45-50mpw to about 60-65mpw and 75-80mpw for track and cross country season respectively. Over the next few years I plan to build up to 80-85 and 95-105 mpw for the respective seasons to allow me to compete for medals at European track and cross country championships. I believe that this is possible because the pressure and time restraints that my degree placed on me will be gone. An example of my finishing strength can be seen in the video in the link below:

I will also be returning to Leicester to help coach at two athletics clubs Wreake Runners and Owls AC which collectively provide coaching for over 150 young runners each week, I believe it is important to give back to the clubs that helped me when I was a junior and this volunteer work could also provide additional exposure for your brand if you chose to sponsor me.
