Solent Softball League

We are a recreational slow-pitch softball league (originally formed in 1995) which is made up of teams from around Hampshire & West Sussex. The league is currently entering it's 19th season with twelve local sports clubs all looking to enjoy a summer of good softball and maybe win the leagues divisional championships.

Outdoor league games and practice sessions are played at several venues around the region, please see website for all areas covered.

Are you looking for something to do, a sports club to join, make some new friends, socialize, get fit, be active and have FUN?. Then the Solent Softball League is the place for you! We are always looking for new players to join in on the fun. Men & women of all abilities and fitness levels are welcome. No previous experience is needed, we have many British Softball qualified coaches within the SSL to help all in the great sport of softball. It is a very low cost sport to play and equipment can be provided so it's a great option to join in on the fun on a budget. There is also no commitment level for players within the SSL, whether you want to jump in and participate in all tournaments within the UK or just join us for evening practices when you are free all are welcome.

The league and its clubs contain a varied mixture of ages and abilities with players coming from all walks of life, which in turn helps to make it a very social kind of sport. The emphasis is very much on getting everyone taking part and having fun (we're not just looking for the fastest runners or the biggest hitters – anyone and everyone is welcome to play!)
